Jonathan Veres

LAUREN PERETICH

Jonathan C. Veres, a lifelong Pittsburgher, graduated from Duquesne University School

of Law and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

While he focuses his practice in Criminal Defense, all aspects of Family Law matters,

and Estates and Trusts - Jonathan has also represented clients Traffic, and various Civil issues. His practice has included litigating and settling multiple family law and criminal defense cases in counties across Southwestern Pennsylvania. He prides himself on listening to his clients and relying on his experience to help them navigate the complexities and stresses of the legal system.

The legal system – no matter the issue – can be complex and stressful for all involved.

Jonathan works with clients to ensure that they remain informed from start to finish, that all

aspects of the case are discussed and explored, and that they are appraised every step of the way. A well-informed client helps.

Prior to practicing law, Jonathan interned with Neighborhood Legal Services in

Pittsburgh where he expunged and sealed criminal records for low-income clients to open

employment and housing opportunities for them. When representing his clients, Jonathan relies on this work to keep his clients’ futures in mind – well past short-term goals.

Jonathan received his B.A. in History from California University of Pennsylvania, his

M.A. in Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and his J.D. from Duquesne

University School of Law – where he competed on the school’s rigorous Appellate Moot Court

Board and served as the Student Bar Association President. There, Jonathan received the

prestigious Court Call Award for his performance on the school’s rigorous Appellate Moot Court Board.

In his spare time, Jonathan works as a voice-over artist and trains in Judo, a Japanese

martial art focusing on throwing, grappling, and competition. He maintains his membership with the Allegheny County Bar Association and stays active in his community.
